The SW Corvallis Area Plan will refine future land uses and establish a clear framework for local street connections and alternative transportation options.
The first public meeting for this project was held on December 6, 2025. Participants reviewed the draft Vision and Guiding Principles, and participated in a mapping activity. Additional materials from that meeting are available in the project library.
This survey supplements the public meeting by providing an opportunity to participate for those who could not attend in person. Your feedback will help refine the Vision Statement and Guiding Principles for the SW Corvallis Area Plan and identify community assets and opportunities that will inform land use and transportation alternatives.
There will be many more opportunities to participate throughout the project, including two additional public events shown in the schedule below.

This survey includes:
Multiple scale-based questions and two open-ended questions about your ideas and priorities for the area.
An interactive map where you can identify specific locations that represent opportunities for development, community improvements, or other important considerations.
This survey will take approximately 10 minutes to complete.
The online survey and map will remain open through Friday, January 9, 2026.

How do you envision sw corvallis?
Below you will find the Vision and Guiding Principles for the SW Corvallis Area Plan. We want to know whether anything is missing or if there are additional ideas we should consider as this area grows and changes.
Vision
The SW Corvallis Area is a livable, connected, and inclusive part of the city where a variety of housing types, thriving neighborhoods, and strong community identity coexist with natural areas and open spaces. The area will grow in a way that supports affordability, sustainability, and safe connections to schools, jobs, Oregon State University, and the broader community.
Guiding Principles
Livable Neighborhoods
Provide a mix of housing types to support affordability and choice.
Encourage infill and redevelopment that reflects neighborhood character, transitions appropriately in scale, and incorporates pedestrian-oriented design.
Support neighborhood centers and public gathering spaces that foster belonging, identity, and convenient access to necessities.
Connected and Safe Mobility
Expand safe walking, biking, and transit routes that connect schools, jobs, parks, downtown Corvallis, and Oregon State University.
Improve east–west and north–south connections to reduce barriers and support a complete street network.
Ensure that streets and active transportation facilities are designed for safety, accessibility, and comfort for all ages and abilities.
Inclusive and Thriving Community
Ensure a variety of housing, community services, and recreation opportunities are accessible to people of all incomes and backgrounds in SW Corvallis.
Elevate voices of historically underserved communities in planning and decision-making to ensure equitable outcomes.
Strengthen partnerships with Oregon State University, Linn-Benton Community College, and Corvallis 509J schools to support education, workforce, and cultural opportunities.
Vibrant Economy and Partnerships
Support local businesses and workforce opportunities that prioritize living wage jobs and benefit the community.
Encourage economic development that balances flexibility, affordability, and long-term value.
Foster collaboration among residents, institutions, and regional partners to manage growth, conserve open space, and guide development in SW Corvallis.
Environmental Stewardship and Resilience
Promote natural areas, open spaces, and views that define SW Corvallis and contribute to the area’s livability.
Incorporate sustainable design, energy efficiency, and climate resilience into new development and infrastructure.
Coordinate with emergency service providers to ensure that SW Corvallis meets current safety standards and is prepared for hazard-related events.
Protect natural features and hazard-prone lands from inappropriate development.

How to Add a Pin
Select “add a comment” from the map tools in the lower-left corner of the map (or the bottom of the map if using a mobile device).
Navigate to your chosen location within or near the pink project boundary on the map.
Click on the location to drop your pin.
Select the topic from the drop down menu and enter your comment in the box below, then click “Submit.”
After submitting, your pin will appear on the map. Repeat the process to identify additional locations.
Additional Tips
Toggle between English and Spanish to view map labels and instructions in the map window by clicking on the tab in the top-right corner.
Find an address or use your current location by clicking on the third tab in the top-right corner.
You can view other existing comments in the left side panel. Comments will be automatically filtered by zooming in and out on the map.
You can switch between aerial view and map view by clicking the map button in the lower-left corner of the map. You can close the map key by clicking the arrow button next to the map view.
You may add as many pins as you like.
